The hardware could range from a thermistor (a resistor that varies
its resistance based on temperature) that could be connectioned to
one of the four game controller inputs (GC0 - GC3) or a sensor
that outputs a frequency proportional to the temperature.  This
square wave output could be used to drive one of the switch inputs
(SW0/PB0 - SW3/PB3).

For simplicity, I'd use a thermistor and take game paddle
readings.

And no, I don't have any spare time right now to write an NDA :)
