FingerPrint Plus Card

Can anybody send me any information on a FingerPrint Plus card for
//e?  I have one (at least the disk says FingerPrint Plus, the card
only has a copyright label) in my //e and would like to use the serial
connectors to transfer data to/from my Mac (my net access is at work
and I can bring DOS disks with net data home and read them).

According to Compute!'s June? 1987 review (I love working in a
library--there's so much information quickly accessible), this is
possible, and the diagnostic/setup software that comes with the card
told me how to set the dip switches to serial, but I'd like more
information.

Specifically:  the card has 4 pins (well, five, but one's chopped to
make the connector only fit one way), of which 3 actually go places on
the board.

Does anyone know the pin assignments?  They must be TX, RX, SG, but
which is which?  How do I select a baud rate?  Protocol (ie N-8-1)?

Also, the little fingerprint button is broken (at least since it's in
several little parts, I assume it won't work right).  Can I just use a
pushbutton switch wired to the contacts on the board or does the
fingerprint button do something fancy?  If so, what?

I can't find any information on Thirdware Computer Products (the
orignial manufacturer), but if they still exist and someone has an
address I'd appreciate it; if not, does anybody know who, if anyone,
picked up their support?
