   Yes, there's AuroraIRC, written by a Dave Roberts, but it was
partly completed, and required a IIGS with GNO/ME, the TCP/IP beta,
and a TCP/IP capable (SLIP, PPP mostly) internet connection. How many
people had all of these? Probably fewer than 15.

   Just like WWW access thru lynx, why don't you just get an internet
provider to run an IRC client, and pump vt100 text to your GS? Far
simpler, and it works.
