Apple 2+ and Apple 2e compatibility question

Are serial cards and disk drives designed for the Apple 2+ compatible with the
Apple 2e? I'd like to transplant these if possible.
Also, is there a FAQ for this newsgroup? Finally, are there any mail order
companies where you can buy Apple 2e related hardware and software?
