In my case (Casio fx-8700GB), I use it to back up the calculator's
programs and files on the computer. I could also use it to download
arbitrary ASCII files to the calculator (as long as they aren't too
big, and have short lines).
If I could be bothered, I could also write a "compiler" for its
programming language, to save having to type in programs on the dinky
little keyboard.
I have worked out what all of its symbol tokens are.
