I believe all DeskWriter models support serial (57600 bps only) and
LocalTalk.  None have a parallel port.

I have heard that this is _not_ the case: the printers do have
built-in fonts, but require an unusual serial connection (57600 bps is
not a standard speed, but can be achieved with special software on the
IIgs), making it difficult to use them from 8-bit software, especially
difficult on a IIe (you would need a Super Serial Card with a
TurboASB), impossible on a IIc.

I have not actually verified whether DeskWriters have built-in fonts.
It might only apply to some DeskWriter models.
