About as funny as being gored by a steer. Let's see how many outright
fabrications and stretches of the truth we can come up with, hm?
> Start making Billy Boy ruler of the world.
Gates doesn't want to rule the world. He makes computer products.
BTW, Graemy Grimeball, it's very unprofessional to "win" arguments
by calling your opponent dimunitive names.
> It's like Mac 87!
No, you can do actually _do_ things with Win 95. In 1987, Macintoshes
were about as useful as an American Express Gold Card - essentially
a status symbol, but you don't actually _use_ them. Besides,
the Mac _still_ doesn't multitask. Cooperative doesn't cut it. Sorry.
> Start Crashing
I've crashed Win 95 a few times. And I've crashed Top of the Line
PowerMacs many times as well. Do you have a point?
> Start looking like a loser!
No thanks, you're doing a great job with that already.
> Start catching up to a Mac II.
As I remarked above, PC's were running businesses while Steve Jobs
was "borrowing" technology from Xerox PARC.
> Start Waiting
Oh, like waiting while LaserWriter Utility takes over the entire
machine to d/l a postscript file to a printer? Like waiting for a ZModem
transfer because if you try to do anything else you end up losing
too many packets? That kind of waiting?
> Start wasting money.
At $99, Win 95 is a good deal. Compared to the overpriced THOUSANDS
that Mac people were raped for. Which, if you're going to buy a status
symbol, is all well and good.
Not to mention that only a handful of Macs have slots. Need more
functionality? Buy a new CPU! Or buy a $300 SCSI->Ethernet converter.
What a BARGAIN! Who needs slots anyway?
> Start wasting time.
Wasting time is buying a Mac to do X when a Mac can't do X because
the software isn't available. Or waiting for a Mac to do any of a number
of things (overpriced, underpowered. These words mean things).
Had Apple done the sensible thing and ported MacOS to run on Intel
processors, I'd be running _that_.
