The Mensch computer was released at the 1994 (not 1995) Kansasfest so this
is not exactly new news.

I don't recall the 65c16s but the 65c265 is as you describe (and there is an
equivalent 65c02 + I/O micro-controller as well). I considered using the 265
in a design I was working on but the pricing did not work out for me and I
needed slightly more powerful serial ports.
