Decreased stability with Second Sight?

Has anyone else noticed lowered stability on their system with the Second
Sight card installed?

Recently my GS began to crash soon after startup, when the little "progress
thermometer" was about a fifth of the way across.  This had happened
irregularly before, and a poweroff-pause-poweron usually fixed things.
However, yesterday I had to repeat the procedure at least ten times before
loading proceeded normally.  Later, I had to restart the system so many times
I eventually gave up and removed the card, after which the startup proceeded
smoothly.  It doesn't seem to matter if the monitor is connected to the card
or to the GS's usual monitor port.
