The AEHD drive will work as a SuperDrive clone with an Apple II 
Superdrive 3.5 card. Since these are no longer made, they are a bit 
scarce. Check with the usual resellers, Shreve, Alltech, A+. There will 
be a new card out later to replace the Superdrive controller, from a new 
company that is now making Superdrive clones for the Mac and II market.
