Reading ProDOS disks on a Mac

Hmm, I know I could do this a long time ago and I know I got the
util from ftp.apple.com.  However, between the Mac's harddrive dying,
putting System 7 on the new drive, and my GS being able to read HFS,
something went wrong.
 
First, the GS no longer reads HFS disks formatted under system 7 on
the mac.  When did this happen?  Or is this a questionable disk?  The
disk can be seen on the mac just fine, but on the GS the disk appears
but no files show up.
 
Second, on the old mac harddrive (RIP) I had a util which I got from
Apple which could read GS/OS & ProDOS disks.  I remember having to add
the util when in system 6, and I know I didn't add it on the new hard
disk.  I tried to find the util at ftp.apple.com, but nothing rang a
bell.  So, does anyone remember the name of this file?  Does it work
in Sys7?  Is it still in ftp.apple.com?
