AppleShare startup for GS?

I'm going to have a new Mac in a couple of weeks and plan to share its
hard drive with my IIgs which only has 3.5" and 5.25" drives.  How much
of GS/OS will I need to shoehorn into a 3.5" disk and how much can I get
away with putting on the Mac's harddrive?  I know I can put the GS's
Finder on the Mac as well as use IR to load any DA's after startup, but
can I also put other things there like fonts and device drivers?  Is
there any way to trick GS/OS into thinking the shared volume is the boot
disk so I won't have to keep one in the GS's drive or worry about
swapping disks?
