The computer needs to be at 'Normal' speed. (Normal?) for any sound card of
Apple II origin to work. One of the first cards I stuck in the newly aquired
IIgs back in Sept. '86 after running home from the computer dealer with a
large box. (Really, It was at the bottom of the hill, end of my street,
could see if from my front door) was to stick in the Apple Cat, Mockingboard
and Replay II cards only to find my self asking "What do you mean I can't
use these slots?!?!" The modem needed slow speed for tone dialing and the
Mockingboard for anything, otherwise it would lock up. The Apple Cat I
fixed by changing some login on the card itself. The Mockingboard was
replaced by the IIgs's 'speaker' after that.
