Apple 4xCD on GS?

Has anyone tried Apple's quad speed CD ROM drive
on an Apple HS SCSI or RAMFast? They're only
$300, which isn't _too_ bad for SCSI, Apple, external.
(ie- internal Sony SCSI is $225, and others
are over $300 for internal.)
