I have a 28.8k modem on my GS with out any card, its connected directly 
to the serial port. My modem has now been upgraded to 33.3k but I have 
yet to connect to a nother system at that speed. The card that you are 
thinking about is the Turbo SSC card. I beliave its a little card that 
you connect to your exsisting SSC (Super Serial Card) to make it run 
faster or should I say support speeds of up to 57.6k rathre then the 
19.2k it currently supports.
