ProFile doesn't start up correctly - help!

I have a five-megabyte ProFile which doesn't start up correctly. About twenty
seconds or so after I flip the power switch, strange clicking noises can be
heard from inside (once every four seconds, for twelve seconds). If I leave it
on, it will stay on with the "READY" light off for a few minutes, and then the
clicks will start agan. No matter how I fuss with the power switch I can't
get it to execute its normal start-up routine. What can I do about this? I
was planning to use the ProFile to back up the games on all my failing
floppies.
