Someone recently ULed a little utility to Apple-Dayton's Apple II BBS (Appleton II, 513-296-1481) called Text Chopper that does just that. Whether or not it'll handle files that large is a good question, but the moral is, there's probably several utilities for spliting up large text files floating around. -John
