Randy had a good point about BBS's running on IIs as an example. I ran a BBS
with a IIe for a couple of years and never had any problems. The slots were
pretty full and I had a System Saver on it. The BBS now runs on a GS and
after three months nary a problem. To conserve desk space the BBS sits on a
shelf under a table at home. In that system I don't have a System Saver, but
I do have an internal cooling fan and I opened all the back-plane ports to
allow easier air exchange.
