The "color burst" killer circuit was present in the second
revision of the Apple ][ (revision 1), although it's effectiveness
was improved around the time of the Apple ][ Plus (sometime between
revision 7 and the RFI shielded revision). I have an Apple ][ with
revision 2 motherboard, the color-killer is a tad flaky, though it
mostly depends on the type of color display I use. I haven't played
around with my Apple ][ Plus (RFI revision 'C') to notice if it works
any better, though I expect it should.
