yup, sure can.  According to everything I've heard so far, it'll work 
just fine in a IIe as well.  Now, the question is... software support.  
Anybody know of anything yet for the IIe to support the SS?  

you know what would really kick?  A Full mouse operated GUI OS on a IIe.  
Is it possible?  I think so.  :)
