IIgs and Unidisk

Something strange has happened to our IIgs.  I have an Apple 3.5"
disk off the port 5 plug and a Unidisk chained to it.  For some
reason, the last couple of days it no longer is recognized.

I have the unidisk driver installed on a copy of the system disk
directly from Apple with nothing else installed.

When I hit the eject button on the drive, the light flashes -
so the drive isn't completely dead.

Anyone with a suggestion what might be wrong?
