Hi!
Well, I have had these problems in my IIe for quite awhile now,
but I never really thought of posting them on here. The first is quite
uunusual, and I have never seen anyone write about it. The problem is,
that every so often when I play a game that uses 128K and Double Hi-res
graphics, it will every so often will lock up and I can't play it. The
problem is not the software, because sometimes some of the games are not
affected at all, but with the fact that I have a card in slot 4, usually
a Phasor sound card and when I take it out the software works without a
hitch, though Test Drive still freezes occasionally. Anyone out there
with any suggestions? I hate to keep plugging and unplugging my Phasor
card every time I want to play a certain game, but that's how it's been
for a while.
The second thing is, my IIe CPU has this nasty habit of simply
just shutting off. Everything else is fine, the monitor, printer, etc.
This habit comes in spurts, it hasn't happened in a while, but when it
does happen, it will happen 3-4 times in a day and the only remedy is to
lift the front of the CPU up and drop it back onto the table and the IIe
will turn on again.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
