Never? Perhaps another few weeks or even months, but "never" seems
rather strong. What I will tell you is something very strange is going on.
I just spoke with John Carmack, the president of ID Software and original
Wolf 3-D programmer, a few moments ago. He claims Vitesse has not even
approached his company concerning the licensing of Wolfenstein 3-D!

The Macintosh port was licensed through InterPlay, due to a whole
long twisted tale that involves BurgerBill being caught up in. It was more
a loophole under the circumstances than anything else. My guess is Vitesse
is looking to use that same loophole in order to avoid the $10k licensing fee
that ID Software wants for the Apple IIgs port. The game is 100% complete,
it's just sitting in limbo while legal things are settled, yet between _who_?

If only it had software support, perhaps this delay in releasing
Wolfenstein 3-D could be used to our advantage, in that Second Sight support
could be added to the game (to be honest, the sample screens I saw left me
feeling very disappointed).
