Question on 3.5 drives....

Recently I have been trying to get a 3.5" drive for my Apple][c. When I
went to buy one the guy said that you need a special "hard to come by"
drive, called a Unidisk and that he would sell it to me for around $125!!!
He said that it is the only 3.5 drive for the ][c that will work and that
125 is a good price. This sounds a little strange to me. Please tell me if
this is so......
