Got the SCSI card, now what do I need?

I've come across an Apple SCSI controller card for the 
IIe.  I'm not sure that it works (I suspect that it does)
but I don't have any software to go with it. (Do I need
any?)

I can format a hard drive with PrDOS partitions on my Mac,
but do I need to do more than that?
