Flickering Video on GS

Ack! The video on my GS seems to be dying. On an Apple RGB monitor the screen
flickers at what looks like about 50 Hz, and for some reason the bottom of
the display is nearly 1/4 of the way up the screen! The same thing happens
with a monochrome monitor using the old video-out connector. The problem
doesn't occur when I use a Second Sight card, but I wonder if this is a
symptom of impending doom for the motherboard. Suggestions?
