I'm on a Unix based internet service provider. At the $ prompt, I enter
"lynx" and am running a character based www program. Of course, you will
not have access to any graphic images. Evidently, the Apple IIgs
graphics are not up to the demands of Mosaic and Netscape, although I
understand some people are working on this problem.
You might have to specify under options that you want to numerically show
your hyperlinks, if you find that you can't distinguish between the active
links and other hypertext. I believe this is the next to last option on
the options screen. Then you can indicate which hyperlink you wish to
follow simply by entering the number which precedes the desired link in
the text.
I hope all this will make some sense to you once you run lynx and look at
the hypertext in reverse video and at the options screen.
