MacPaint: there are programs that can convert the original MacPaint
format (512x384? black and white) into a IIgs picture. SuperConvert
from Seven Hills can definitely do it. Roger Wagner Publishing's
"Graphics Exchange" can probably do it as well. There may be
freeware/shareware utilities, but I don't know of any off-hand.
I seem to recall a ProDOS-8 utility that can display MacPaint graphics
on the standard hi-res screen. It might have been IIGIF, or a program
written by the same author.
I assume you mean "PICT", not "PICC". "PICT" is a very common
graphics format on the Mac, which is actually a QuickDraw Picture, i.e.
a recorded set of drawing commands.
The IIgs has its own PICT mechanism which is identical in concept to
the Mac's version, but different in implementation.
I am not aware of any programs that can convert a Mac PICT graphic to
display it on the IIgs. It should be possible to write one, because
both Mac and IIgs PICT formats are documented. Some information is
likely to be lost in the process (e.g. you'd have to throw out embedded
QuickTime data!), and it wouldn't be perfect (e.g. aspect ratios and
font translation might cause problems).
