DuoDisk Help

Is there a doctor in the house? My Duodisk is on the fritz.

The patient turns up when the //e is turned on, spins like it
wants to read a disk, but does not read ANY disk. Control-Break
stops the drive, pr#6 starts it, but no reads. Period.

I have a spare Duo, so I hooked it up. Works fine. Tried a
different controller card. Did not fix it. Pulled the duo
card from the good duo drive and put it in the bad and viola -
the bad drive works. Put the duo card from the bad duo into the
good and yep, you guessed it, no dice.

So I am guessing it is one of the many chips on the duo board.
It is #820-5002-2 from 1983, not as clean as the newer board
from the duo that works, but the chips are similar (?).

What is the prognosis, Doctor? Should I replace a particular
chip first or replace them all?

Post any RX's here or send to me. Thanks.
