There is a package of source files called nulib324.tar.Z that can be
compiled to create a program to unpack ShrinkIt files. I've compiled it
on a Unix machine, but I think it could be compiled on an MS-DOS (or
even Mac) to run there.
The source is available via anonymous FTP from apple2.archive.umich.edu
at apple2/unix/nulib324.tar.Z and some documentation is at
apple2/unix/nulib.docs.txt.
For MS-DOS, there is a compiled version of GNU gcc available that can be
used to compile the program. For the Mac, you'd need a programming
environment such as Symantec C++ 8.0 or Metrowerks' Codewarrior, but
would only be able to run the resultant program from within the
development environment.
