Hints Wanted for Gruds In Space

Hi there people, under the dust and old banana peels I found my old Apple 
][+ clone and some of the games still worked.  One of them is Gruds in Space.

I've forgotten what to do in it and I'm stuck.  If anyone can remember 
that far back.  I made it to Saturn, spoke to Lord Rich dude who wants a 
counterfeiting machine, and got a flashlight so I can look in the caves 
but I'm having some problems.

I cant get the rope from the Grud who's holding it.
What do I do with the table leg?
What about that bat?
On Venus I can find the gun but I suffocate because I cant get out.
What goes in those coloured round slots in the caves on Saturn and on the 
Alien Spaceship?

Are there any solution files around for these old adventure games?  Stuff 
like Kabul Spy, Mystery House and so on.

I kinda like these games but as I get older I'm finding I'm loosing 
patience and I don't have as much time to play games as when I was a kid.
