mac powerbook scsi disk mode

now before everyone start flaming me about this post should be in the mac 
newsgroup (sorry about the subject line), has anybody tried to connect a 
powerbook via scsi cable to an apple 2? mac powerbook's scsi controller 
has a special mode activated through a special cable that would allow 
another computer (a mac) connected through scsi to access the internal hd 
directly. i'm hesitant to try this because i don't known what it would do 
to the powerbook if it doesn't work. does any body know whether apple 2 
could do this with a powerbook?
