Whatever happened to the Uber-GS that BurgerBill was working on? As I
understood it, the tool sets were just about done (including the
rewrite of the graphics stuff to let it work with the higher res of
the Avatar) ... it was the hardware side that never got done.

So, maybe we should all petition BB to fix it up for the SS and sell
it to the GS public ... although the market might be a tad small,
alas.
