The future of II Alive

Hi!
	A message from Doug Cuff, the new editor of II ALive, on the 
future of the magazine.  He requested that this be posted so people (me 
included) who are concerned about the future of II Alive will know the truth and not 
believe the rumors that have been going around.

First, GS+ has no authority to speak for either II Alive or Quality
Computers.  They made their claim based not on an official statement
from Quality Computers, but by calling the order department and asking
for a subscription price.  GS+ "was told that they were not accepting
new subscriptions at this time".  The order department isn't
infallible; they've been known to get things wrong before.
(Specifically, there was some confusion over AppleWorks 4 or 5, I
forget which.  It was before I was employed by Quality.)  More on the
future of II Alive in a moment.

Second, II Alive will continue to publish for another year or so AT
LEAST, so don't worry about your subscription.  As for the March/April
issue, it was delayed because there was no one with the time to edit
it.  Jerry Kindall has moved on to other projects, and Quality
Computers has hired me, Doug Cuff, to do the job.  There was a lot of
delay due to the changeover.  Vol 3 No 1 will soon be available, but
it may be dated May/June instead of March/April.
 
Having said all that, I am still very new to Quality Computers, and
simply don't know yet what the publisher plans to do with II Alive.
Anything you hear is still a rumour at this point.  Please keep that
in mind, and feel free to post this message on comp.sys.apple2 if
others need reminding.
