AWGS Problems

I hve recently been having problems with Appleworks GS.  It is the same problem
that other people have been reporting.  That is, it locks up, and asks you to 
press the restart button.  It is a pain in the ass, and would like to know
what the hell is causing it (you see, it keeps happening to my girlfriend - 
never me- and I keep getting these threats, that my computer will be thrown
out the window ... i do not want this to happen).  If anyone has found a
solution, could you please let me know.
