Applied Engeneering PCT help

Hey All,
   I have a PC Transporter tht I bought serveral years ago, and it
recently died.  The chip that it uses to run the disk drive split down the
middle, popped up a bit, and started smoking.  Needless to say, it doesn't
work anymore.  I guess my question is :  Is there anywhere I could send
this to have it repaired?  Assuming I could find the chip.  Please respond
