There are several ftp sites having extensive libraries of Apple II
software. Also, many Apple User Groups have software libraries of A2
software, and make the stuff availble to members by BBS or direct mail order.

Trying to post software libraries via newsgroups does not seem to me very
practical, since the volume might be very large, and since the stuff does
not stay on newsgroups for very long.

My user group has a good collection, which I have recently updated and
re-organized. There are a number of useful programs, like FreeWriter,
AppleWriter, a spreadsheet, a data base, and educational stuff. We are not
heavy on games, but do have some. Most of the good games are
copyrighted, and not available for re-distribution.

I can copy and mail disks to members for the cost of disks and mailing
(plus, perhaps, a small handling charge for the club treasury), if the
demand is not high. Perhaps I could send some disk images via
internet. The first thing I would send is the list of programs and the
description file, so a person would know what to order. Much of what we
have is also available via several PD/SW distributors.

Dues are $10/year (so far). Newsletter monthly
