Citizen Tribute 124 and AppleWorks v1.2

My Citizen Tribute 124 doesn't seem to work with AppleWorks 1.2.
I've selected a compatible printer as Epson FX, slot 1, etc.
When I go to print the document, there's absolutely no printer
activity. I started my IIe with the printer on, so I know it's
initialized. And, in Applesoft, when I type "PR#1" that
typewriter-like mode starts. I've also tried Epson MX and RX
with no better results. When I switch the Tribute 124 with an
MSP-10 everything works fine (on Epson FX). What's weird
is that there's no printer activity AT ALL. It's almost
as if it's not connected to the card (although it IS).
 
One more question:
When I start the typewriter mode in Applesoft with
the Tribute 124, if I type slowly enough, it prints
1 character at a time, like a teletype.
On an MSP-10, it prints nothing until I either
start a new line or press Return.
Any ideas about this difference?
