Need basic advice on setting up Apple IIc as Net access Terminal

I was given an Apple IIc from my neighbor.  I would like to use
it as a terminal for simple shell internet access.   I need
to know if this is possible, what software I will need, where I
can obtain it, and what It will cost me.  I dont use the computer
for anything else.  I just want to be able to dial into a provider
and use my account.  Any help would be appreciated.  I know very
little about this computer.   Will software come with the modem I plan to buy?   Please help or guide me to a place
