I missed that, but I went digging and found this:

Page 13 suggests that a jumper across E2 is what you want, if I'm reading it
right.  On my drive, it's in a different location than is indicated in the
diagrams included in the PDF, so you might need to look around on yours if
it's also different. 

I might have to pick up an FC5025 after all.  If a jumper is all it takes to
read the many flippies I've been sitting on all these years, archiving my
Apple II stuff to CD or DVD just got a whole lot easier.
