Possible to use PC Transporter as RAM disk under GS/OS?

My question is in the subject.  I modified the ProDOS file on my GS/OS boot
disk, as per the instructions in the manual, but no change on the desktop was
apparent.  If I'm understanding the manual right, it seems as though the RAM
disk is only available under ProDOS 8.  Is this true?
