I thought this would be the easy thing to do too. But, although my modem+
software worked fine I decided to check the wiring of my cable with a
ohmmeter. The cable is not the same as  what is in my Spectrum manual! I
assume that ProTerm uses the same cable wiring. So, while a Mac cable
may work, it may not be exactly what Apple II/IIgs comm. software expect
in a hardware handshaking cable.

Just  a word of caution.
