CDs for Apple //s

Going along the conversation here, is anyone aware of how many CDs there
are for the Apple, including GO and AUGE?  And can someone give me the
rundown on SyQuest?  I was considering getting one of those Hitachi
CD-ROM drives but if there's only a couple of CDs it's not really worth
it, is it?

Then there's the problem of getting GBBS or METAL to access it as well
as everything else (293Mb HD)...
