Check this out carefully. I recently tried to add a tape drive
backup unit to my system (also with an Apple SCSI C card) and found
several problems with it not being able to boot with the tape drive in
line and active. I had to keep turning the power off to boot the system.
This was a real pain in the butt.
Now I had the tape drive physically first in line (not SCSI ID) and then
my HD last because it was terminated. This was the only way I could set
it up and it caused all sorts of problems.
It also caused me not to be able to access any ProDOS 8 programs with the
tape drive inline.
Okay now the point I'm trying to make is that the Apple SCSI C card may
not recognize any removable media and that woud include the SyQuest
drives, so be careful.
If you want the SyQuest I recommend a RamFAST SCSI card to go with it.
Maybe someone else has a solution or has better results with the Apple C
card.
Anyway good luck, the price is right.
