Does Apple Computer still offer repair services to Apple II users
as of late? I'm curious, exactly what does ACI still offically offer in
terms of (little as there may be) Apple II support?
In terms of hardware, there's only the 140k Apple 5.25 (platinum)
drive, which has more or less now been turned into an accessory for the
Macintosh LC //e card. Yet what about repairs and upgrades? Has that been
dropped along with the recent removal of remaining hardware from their
pricelists? And what about System Software -- has that too been offically
discontinued? When I last spoke with Dave Lyons, he seemed to indicate
they were done with IIe and IIGS System Software, closing the door, but
not locking it and throwing away the key. In otherwords, if bug-fixes were
needed, that door could be opened again. Has Apple changed that situtation?
