Hey Sean,

This is pretty unfortunate! I've been having similar problems, but I
can't really blame the ORCA languages. I'm getting the problems you
describe with the ORCA/M 65816 assembler. Now, my files names and
such are not getting corrupted, but when I go through the compile and
link process (mostly in the link) I get reports of labels not defined,
and the names of the labels are mine except @ characters may replace
a letter of my label name.

Like I said earlier, I can't blaame ORCA because this only started
happening after I restored my HD from an Archiver file backup. After
the restoration, I found about 3 or 4 files that were corrupted, and
have corrected those, but this problem with my ORCA environment still
exists. It isn't my source files that are the problem, because they
were not involved in the backup/restore process.

Also, I have a 128MB Magneto Optical drive in which I have a GNO
installation with another ORCA installation on it, and when I boot
from there, everything works fine during the compile and link.

I've shift booted, and also re-installed the 65816 assembler part of
my ORCA system, and the problem still exists. I may end up re-installing
the rest of the ORCA languages as well, but for now, I'm just using the
GNO installation of my ORCA system until I can figure out what is wrong.
Any more information you find would be helpful to me as well.

Have you restored a backup lately or something?
