You need to have either the ProDOS extension from the LC //e card software or
PC Exchange installed to use ProDOS disks. PC Exchange used to be a separate
package but it's included in OS 7.5. If I stick an unformatted 800K disk in my
Mac like I just did to test, I get the option to format in HFS 800K, DOS 720K,
or ProDOS 800K. So if you're running 7.5 just make sure PC Exchange is
installed. If you're using 7.1 you need to get the extension or see if you can
find the separate PC Exchange package, which might be tough nowadays. Or do the
easy and cool thing, upgrade to 7.5.
