	Basically, IRC is a recreational activity. People are there to
chat with their friends that they can't or won't call or meet in person
(distance being the major factor.. LD is kinda expensive). People have
said that it's a waste of time, and they're absolutely right. But then,
you could say the same about watching TV or a movie or playing SNES. Do
you realy learn anything? No, but it's fun. #AppleIIgs in particular is
one of the few IRC channels that actually has a purpose *other* than idle
chatter and netsex :)
