Yeah, you were probably on Undernet or something strange like that.  To
get back to the friendly (WAY overcrowded) EFnet, try irc.colorado.edu,
copper.ucs.indiana.edu, ircserv.iastate.edu, etc.  Strange that a default
server would be non-EFnet...
