Is it just me, or is the ProDOS FST on the Macintosh a heck of a lot
*slower* than the HFS FST in GS/OS 6.0?? This morning at work, I popped
an Appleworks data disk into one of the Quadra 660AV's. Then I started up
NCSA Telnet on the machine next to it and checked my e-mail, composed a
couple of responses, and logged out before my ProDOS disk would even
mount! Then, when I tried to copy a file to the Mac hard drive, it sat
and crunched for about ten minutes before crashing to a "File could not be
read because an error of type -81 occurred" dialog. Sheesh! Then the
AppleWorks translator made mincemeat of my AWP document.

On the other hand, if I stuff an HFS disk into my GS, it mounts right
away. The only thing on the GS that is slow is the DOS 3.3 FST. (Why
doesn't that contain an image of the DOS RWTS routine?!).

So...Is it just me?
